Features of Louis XIII: spiral legs, stretchers, arm supports, backs are paneled or banisters, heavy moldings
Features of Louis XIV: larger and more formal pieces, symmetrical, architectural nature, arms curve downward, legs terminate in a bun, carvings are rare
Features of Louis XV: curvature in backs of seats, asymmetrical, naturalistic decoration
Materials: cherry, walnut, mahogany and cypress
