Louis XIV Decorative Arts

Below are photos of decorative art pieces from the Louis XIV time period: starting from top to bottom: the first photo shows furniture used a a means of decoration alongside the moldings of the pedimented door frame and the large tapestry on the wall nearby, the second photo shows another interior of the Palais of Versailles showing off paintings and bright coloration as a new means of decoration, the next photo shows off the elaborate vases they made solely for “looking at,” then we see a photo of an antique Louis XIV clock made from exotic woods and rare metals, and finally is a tapestry with the famous and boisterous Louis XIV proudly depicted.
